Exporting to PDF

Smart CSV Editor can turn the sheet into a clean, paginated PDF — ready to print, AirDrop, email, or save to Files.

Sharing PDFs is a Pro feature

Anyone can open the exporter and preview the PDF. Sharing or saving the file requires Smart CSV Editor Pro — the Share button shows a small lock for free users and offers the upgrade.

Making a PDF

  1. Tap the Export PDF button in the toolbar. Select a range of cells first if you only want part of the sheet.
  2. The Export PDF screen opens with a live preview of the actual pages — scroll through them, pinch to zoom.
  3. Adjust the options until it looks right, then tap Share to print, AirDrop, email, or save it.

The export matches what's on screen: sorting and filters are applied, and hidden columns stay hidden. Formatted columns print formatted — currency and number formats, percentages, check marks for checkboxes, stars for ratings.

Options

Option What it does
Export Shown when a range of cells was selected: choose Selected Cells (pre-chosen) or Entire Sheet. A selection below the header row automatically brings the header labels along, like charts do.
Size A4, US Letter, US Legal, or A3. Defaults to the usual paper for your region.
Orientation Portrait or landscape. Landscape fits more columns per page.
Fit All Columns on One Page Scales the whole table down (like Excel's scale to fit) so every column lands within the page width. Turn it off to keep full size — extra columns then continue on their own pages, down first, then across.
Header Row on Every Page Repeats the header row at the top of each page so long tables stay readable. Shown only when the file has a header row.
Show Row Numbers Adds a row-number gutter: data rows count 1, 2, 3, … in export order. The header row carries no number.

Each page carries the file name and a Page X of Y footer.

Very large sheets

A PDF export includes up to the first 10,000 visible rows (roughly 250 A4 pages). If your sheet is bigger, filter it down to the rows you need first — the export follows your filters.
